How to view different statuses of your iDevice.

  1. Download the latest version of 3uTools on your computer

  2. Connect your iDevice to the PC using USB cable

Check if your iDevice is genuine using 3uTools verification report

3uTools is a wonderful iOS manager tool that delivers a variety of outstanding functions for iPhones, iPads, and iPod touches. One of the most useful functions of the tool is that it can check if your iDevice is genuine. 

Since Apple products are so expensive, many people opt to purchase used iOS devices. But, there is always the chance that the vendor assembled or stole the device and is now trying to sell it. Fortunately, a verification report from 3uTools could let you know whether your iPhone, iPad, or iPod parts are genuine or not. 

What is 3uTools verification report

In a verification report, 3uTools verifies all the key software and hardware information of the iDevice. The things that you can check includes Model, Colour, Hard disk capacity, Sales model, Wifi address, Bluetooth address, Serial number, Main serial number, Battery serial number, Rare camera, Front camera,Screen serial number of your iDevice. 

The verification report will show you the Read value and the Ex-factory value and the test result of each of these components. The test result is merely based on the Read value and Ex-factory value of the part. If these values do not match, the test result shows an abnormal value, and the related software or hardware part may not be genuine.

How to get 3uTools verification report

  1. Free download 3uTools’ latest version on your PC or laptop from our download page.
  2. Once download is completed, find the 3uTools app icon on your PC desktop
  3. Click on the app and allow 3uTools to make changes on your PC when it is prompted.
  4. Connect your iDevice to PC via the USB cable, following the reminder.
  5. 3uTools dashboard will display on your PC home screen, if the connection is successful
  6. Click on the “View Verification Report” on iDevice info as shown below

  7. Now you can see the 3uTools verification report on your iOS device.

How to check iPhone is genuine or not

The 3uTools verification report is not normal. 

On the 3uTools verification report, test results for a few hardware components of the iDevice might display an abnormal value.

The device’s main board or hard drive may need to be replaced if the test results for the battery serial number, front camera, back camera, or Touch ID serial number are abnormal.

 How to verify if the idevice screen is genuine

3uTools cannot directly verify whether the device screen is changed or not. However, the front camera is an accessory of display and in most of the occasions, repairmen replace the entire display along with all the accessories including the front camera.

Therefore, there is a strong likelihood that the device’s screen will also be changed if the front camera is replaced.

In other words, if the factory value of the front camera doesn’t match the read value on the 3uTools verification report, the screen may be changed.

How to check if iPhone Panel is genuine on 3uTools

3uTools can’t read the current panel colour. Only the iDevice factory colour is readable. If the actual colour of the device matches with the factory colour shown on the 3uTools verification report, the panel or case is not replaced.

Meanings of some of the read values on the 3uTools verification report

  1. Hard disk capacity 

Upgrade capacity

This means that the internal hard disk is replaced with a larger capacity version. For instance, a hard disk capacity with 16 GB might be expanded to 128GB.

Replace Hard Drive

The iDevice’s original hard disk may be damaged, in which case a replacement must be made.

Remove Hard Drive

The hard disk may be removed to change the factory data.

Apple Replaced Device 

This refers to  a brand-new device that Apple is replacing as an after-sale service.

Apple Refurbished Device 

A device that Apple has refurbished and resold.  “Apple Certified Refurbished Products” can be found on Apple’s official website  

Demo Device 

Demo device is a device that you can find and try out in the Apple Store or retail stores
